Jeffrey Allen Dallas, 53 of Kailua-Kona, died June 17 in Kailua-Kona. Born in Merced, Calif., he was a plumber, poet and coin collector. Private services. Survived by wife, Rhonda Dallas, of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Savannah Dallas of Kailua-Kona, Bridgette (Derrick) Grider of Reno, Nev., and Candice Dallas of Huntington Beach, Calif.; sons, Mitchell Dallas and Nick Dallas of Huntington Beach; brother, James (Sue) Dallas of Capitally, Calif.; sisters, Judy Carper of Kailua-Kona and Jackie (Vic) Dallas-Cox of Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Janeen (Bill) Able, Kailua-Kona; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Lawrence “Pinky” Robert Jarneski, 73, of Hilo died June 29 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii Tribune-Herald composing room foreman and member of the Communications Workers of America Locals 14921 and 37. Robert “Bobby” Joseph Leite, 76, of Hawaiian Paradise Park died June 30 at home. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired construction worker for Yamada & Sons and Loeffler Construction, retired Hawaii Army National Guard member, member of Glad Tidings Church, Central Christian Church and Big Island National Guard Retirees Association. Marty Ray McClendon, 55, of Captain Cook, died June 29 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Los Angeles, he owned Copy Plus Service Center and was a member of Bible First Mission Church. Chester Rikio Sueoka, 64, of Honolulu died June 29 at Maunalani Nursing Home on Oahu. Born in Hilo, he was a retired mechanic supervisor for Oahu Community Correctional Center. Memorial service 6 p.m. Monday, July 9 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary in Honolulu. Inurnment 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 10 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by mother, Sadako Sueoka of Hilo; brother, Harold Sueoka of Hilo; sisters, Marian (Henry) Hamada of Kauai and Doris (Roy Yamashita) Kimura of Hilo; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Survivors of Valerie “Aunty Val” Gene Kailimai include sister-in-law Maydel Matsubara of Hilo. Her name was omitted from an obituary published Sunday.
